Common questions

How to measure your wall
What you need
A 25 ft tape measure, a pencil, and paper. If measuring alone, painter's tape holds one end of the tape.
Measuring width
Measure horizontally from left edge to right edge, at roughly chest height. For an accent section, measure just that section. Note the number in inches.
Measuring height
Measure floor to ceiling. Standard US ceilings are 8 ft (96″). For 9 ft ceilings, SoundPanel™ Tall (118.1″) gives full coverage without cutting.
Outlets and switches
Do not subtract space for outlets or switches. The MDF cuts cleanly with a jigsaw. The installation guide covers marking and cutting openings.
Choosing the right panel
- Regular (94.5″ / 7.9 ft): For standard 8 ft ceilings. Leaves a small gap at the top that can be trimmed or left as a floating effect.
- Tall (118.1″ / 9.8 ft): For 9 to 10 ft ceilings. Full floor-to-ceiling coverage without seams.
- GroovePanel® (23.6″ × 23.6″): Square tiles for feature walls, mosaic patterns, and smaller accents.
When to round up
Always round up. One extra panel covers cutting waste and future repairs. Cheaper than placing a second order and paying shipping again.
